In July 2006, Founder and Chairman of Fruitful Trees Ministries, Mark A Johnson felt the compulsive need to help people maximise their God-given potential. He was convinced that this was to be done on a large-scale so he started this ministry. Immediately, he selected nine (9) of his closest friends to form an Executive Committee and had the first meeting on August 28th. Executive Meetings were held fortnightly as planning commenced at once for the registration of the ministry as a legal, corporate entity as well as organising an event for the official launch. The ministry was duly incorporated and registered under the Companies Act of Jamaica on January 24, 2007. The date slated for the launch was March 24th the following year and it was dubbed "Shabach! 2007 - Worship in War".

Our Executive Board constitutes 12 Directors who are advised by a panel of 10 Consultants as the need arises. There are just over 50 members and Partners, 5 Affiliates and a number of Volunteers and Friends.

We are relentless in our efforts to maximise the potential of target groups e.g. those who are homeless, incarcerated, aged, orphaned, sick, widowed, poor, hurting, etc. We seek to inspire everyone with whom we come in contact, motivate and help them to become the best that they can be for this is what we believe God wants for each life; we were all designed for greatness! We were not created and given gifts, talents and potential for no apparent reason! they must be used to reflect the excellence of God and this is where we believe fulfillment of one's purpose is found!

Fruitful Trees Ministries stages fundraising events in aid of financing outreach projects and programmes designed to practically devlop and train people.

Jesus Christ came to earth just over two thousand (2,000) years ago and spent about three (3) years empowering 12 men with with the knowledge and principle application of the Kingdom of God; we were all created to have dominion over this entire planet in joint-rulership in this Kingdom with God, the King. These men passed on the teachings of thousands and today, millions of us are carrying the Kingdom within us. We exist to help people realise that we were created to rule the earth with God, join the Kingdom and live a life of ultimate fulfilment.

That example of empowerment and multiplication that Jesus Christ has set for us is the core reason why this Ministry exists. If we plant one (1) seed in good soil and ensure that this seed is properly nurtured and protected, it will some day become a tree and bear several fruits. If the seeds from each of these fruits are planted in good soil, several trees will grow; eventually, that original seed would have multiplied into a forest!

Our mandate is to develop the first group to be more effective in executing their purpose whilst our duty to the second group is to demonstrate the Kingdom in helping them to realise that they were created for the Kingdom.

We are passionate about developing sound character in the people with whom we come in contact particularly leaders, teachers, musicians and other artists, sports personalities, as well as people in other disciplines who serve in the Kingdom.

..."One shall chase a thousand and two, ten thousands..." God's arithmetics is quite interesting, isnt it? If 1=1,000 and 2=10,000, then 3=100,000, 4=1,000,000, and so on; can you imagine if 27, 49 or even 700 of God's people joining forces, unite hearts and minds to build The Kingdom? The results would be exponential.

The Founder and Chairman of Fruitful Trees Ministries (FTM), Mark A. Johnson, has linked up with two (2) guys he met in college and university some many years ago. Each of these guys has started their own ministries too; Maxwell Slowley founded Instruments Of Praise (IOP) and Wendell Lawrence established Spurr Music Empire (SME). All three (3) of these visionaries are insatiably passionate about changing the world. They intend to accomplish this by employing quite novel and creative media and staging high-quality, life-changing events such as concerts, workshops, seminars, etc that will be geared towards developing strong, positive, permanent character of pf people.
