Here is an excerpt from our constitution defining our levels of participation:
1.6. “Director” means an individual who is appointed to serve on the Board
1.7. “Manager” means an individual who is appointed to serve as an Executive Member and reports directly to a Director
1.8. “Coordinator” means an individual who is appointed and serves in a supervisory capacity and reports directly to a Manager or a Director where the portfolio does not include such a Manager
1.9. “Team Leader” means an individual who has been appointed to the leadership of a smaller group e.g. cell group, pianists, junior dancers, light engineers, etc.
1.10. “Member” means one who has subscribed to the vision, completed and submitted the prescribed form in the manner stipulated in Section twelve (12) maintains current payments of the requisite membership fees, is eligible to take part in decision-making at General Meetings and works along with the leadership of the Ministry in fulfilling the vision
1.11. “Partner” means one who has subscribed to the vision but has opted to participate solely by financial or gift contributions whether periodically or ad hoc
1.12. “Volunteer” means an individual who provides personal human resource for a specific ‘one-off’ or continuous event without charging a fee but is the recipient of particular complimentary items and privileges
1.13. “Affiliate” means a Ministry that subscribes to the vision and collaborates with the Ministry in events, projects and or programmes
1.14. “Friend” means an individual whose contact information is added to the Ministry’s database and receives updates, promos and other information via communication channels
1.15. “Membership fee” means that sum of money that is required to be paid by all Members at the frequency stipulated by the Board of Directors
1.16. “Pledge” means a token, usually cash, given to the Ministry for a specific purpose
1.17. “Love gift” means a token of cash or kind given to the Ministry or a sub-ministry for general or a specific purpose

1.1. Any individual who:
(a) is a Christian (who believes in and lives by our Statement of Faith), regardless of country of residence;
(b) is at least eighteen years old;
(c) has been referred by a Director;
(d) has been enrolled and functioning as a Volunteer or a Partner in a manner and for a time deemed suitable by the Board of Directors and subsequently nominated by a Director
1.2. Any Director or other Executive Member who has resigned and relinquishes his/her Executive capacity and duties but who remains committed to participating as a Member by completing the requisite enrolment form.
2.1. An enrolment of a person for membership of the Ministry:
(a) shall first be nominated by a Director in a Board of Directors Meeting
(b) shall be approved by at least 80% of the Board of Directors, the Nominee, as soon as is practicable after selection, being notified in writing
(c) shall be confirmed upon receipt of completed prescribed form set out in Appendix 1 and Receipts of Deposits of all applicable fees, by the Director of Administration by hand, mail, facsimile or email;
(d) shall be made effective upon the entry of the Nominee’s name and prescribed particulars in the Ministry’s database
2.2. As soon as is practicable after entry of the Member’s particulars in the database, that Member shall be furnished with the prescribed items on specific terms and conditions which may include but not be restricted to an I.D. swipe card, CUG cell phone, email address with username, special passwords to web pages, etc
3.1. A person ceases to be a member if that person:
(a) Dies
(b) Resigns membership
(c) Is expelled from the Ministry by the Board of Directors
(d) Defaults in payments of Membership fees for a prescribed period
Exceptional circumstances shall be determined and treated accordingly by the Board of Directors.
3.2. Upon cessation of membership, that former Member shall be required to:
(a) return all properties of the Ministry acquired during the tenure of Membership for the purpose of the Ministry
(b) pay in full, all monies outstanding in Membership fees, loans and all other financial arrangements
4.1. Right, privilege or obligation which a person has by reason of being a member of the Ministry:
(a) is not capable of being transferred or transmitted to another person; and
(b) terminates on cessation of the person’s membership
5.1. A member of the Ministry is not entitled to resign that membership except that member has paid all outstanding amounts in respect of that member’s membership and has first lodged with the Director of Administration written notice of at least thirty (30) days (or such other period as the Board of Directors may determine) of the member’s intention to resign and, on the expiration of the period of notice, the member ceases to be a member.
5.2. If a member of the Ministry ceases to be a member under subsection (1), and in every other case where a member ceases to hold membership, the Director of Administration must make an appropriate entry in the Ministry’s database recording the month in which the member ceases to be a member.
6.1. The Director of Administration of the Ministry must establish and maintain a register of members and other participants directly related to the Ministry specifying the name, address, contact information and any other particular required by the Board of Directors of each member and other participant of the Ministry together with the month in which the person became a member or participant.
6.2. Other participants include Friends, Volunteers, Partners, Affiliates and Consultants. The particulars of these individuals may not be as detailed as those for Members and shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
6.3. The register of members must be kept at the office of the Ministry and must be open for inspection, free of charge, by any member of the Ministry provided reasonable notice is given.
7.1. Upon selection for enrolment as a member in the prescribed manner, a member of the Ministry must pay all required subscription and other fees
7.2. In addition to any amount payable by the member under subsection (1), a member of the Ministry must pay to the Ministry a monthly Membership fee of J$300 stipulated by the Board of Directors.
7.3. The subscription and membership fees payable by members shall be reviewed and determined at each Annual General Meeting unless otherwise decided by the Board of Directors.
8.1. The liability of a member of the Ministry to contribute towards the payment of the debts and liabilities of the Ministry or the costs, charges and expenses of the winding up of the Ministry is limited to the amount, if any, unpaid by the member in respect of membership of the Ministry as required by section 17 subsection (2).
ADDITIONALLY
A member can opt to reduce hi/her level of participation by resigning and request to become any of the following:
- Partner
- Volunteer
- Friend
Also, a member may be recommended by a Director for a higher level of participation namely:
- Team Leader
- Coordinator
- Manager
- Director
